Just in case...

Hey guys, Just in case you haven't been checking the blogs to your right.... Amy over at Our Family Our Story has just posted an awesome video of their trip for Finnley Joy.

They were ahead of us by a few months, and helped me keep my sanity while we waited for news on Shelby. They even had the same guide for a portion of he trip... Simon! He loved Shelby and she just adored him right back...

She's really outdone herself with putting it together so beautifully! Stop over and watch when you have a few minutes.

Warning: Must have tissues when watching!

That's it for now, Enjoy!

44 Days and counting...

44 Days until Christmas... Hmmm... I cannot decide if I am excited or scared.... It's my favorite holiday, and this will be Shelby's first here with us. We have been so blessed this year, that I don't think there is anything more that we could ask for.

Unless it's for the kittens to calm down a little..... A little less rip-and-tear would be great...

I'm just now getting the menu together for Thanksgiving Dinner here also. This may be our last year of hosting it since we have Shelby here, we'll be hosting Christmas now and I'll be passing the torch onto my sister.

I'm anxious to see how she handles all of the family together... not sure if she will shine through, or retreat into her bashful act... It's funny how she can turn that on and off.

Anyway, the count is on!

A Little overdue..

I've been meaning to post this for quite some time....
It was a gift that she received when we
arrived home, from her Great Aunt Jeanie

It's a pillow, that looks like a ladybug,
but she loves to hop around on it...

She made it up all by herself,
and rides it quite frequently...

Where is Shelby?
So many cute little faces here it's hard to tell.

Ahhhhh! Here she is! She must have been hiding!
We took turns hiding in the stuffed animals
for about an hour... Her attention span is getting better!

Happy Halloween!

We had trick or treat night last night, and let me tell you....

I know one little girl that was very excited to pass out candy! She was pointing and saying "Hi Kids" while they were 2 houses away. She'd grab some candy from the dish and wait for them to come up on the porch. She was just amazed at the costumes.

We didn't do the costume and treating ourselves this year as I wasn't sure she was ready for that, but after seeing the reaction this year, we may split the 2 hours and do 1 hr of passing and 1 hr of collecting next year.

Yep, it happened again, she just got a little cuter!

Taken in mid-giggle...
It's like an explosion when she smiles like this...
Of course it's a crappy quality from my phone,
but it was after a few pieces of candy....

Yep, More cuteness...

Just some shots around the house.... Enjoy!

Here you can see her telling me to get out!
Because she's not done yet! She's quite the pooper!
Have I mentioned how great it is that she goes on the potty?
She is starting to go all by herself now.

Dressed and ready for school! (daycare)
She loves it, and is doing really well with the adjustment.
She comes home singing songs almost everyday.
Look at that smile!

To cute not to grab a picture of....
She loves pig-tails in her hair!
It's slowly getting longer, so it's easier to get into them.

PS. Our friends that are in China right now, have thier new daughter and all is going very well! They are still in province, and will have about another week or so before they head back to the USA.

Photo Round-up...

I finally got a few moments this morning to get these uploaded and ready for everyone...
She's in the tub... I'm on the laptop here in the bathroom... I'm good for a few minutes... Amazing how this space has become my home office during bath-time... I can actually get stuff done while she's having a blast entertaining herself quite well. I just gotta watch for the splash attacks!

This first batch was from a trip to the
National Apple Harvest Festival
with Nana and her buddy Pam.

She actually wasn't to sure of petting the pigs...
so odd, because she's usually quite fearless.

Just too cute not to share,
the three of them all snuggled together
.
Look how tall I am!

Look how cute I am!

Now look how SILLY I am....

This was at a co-workers child's birthday party last weekend....
She LOVES balooooooons!

Field trip to the firehouse with her daycare,
and they thought that I "might" want this picture....
They obviously don't know me well....
I want every picture of her!

They said she wasn't scared of the men in their
fire suits, the siren, or the truck at all!
I'm telling you.... fearless!

Mmmmm... Cookies!
Just too cute again with the little hat and then not
realizing it at the time, but the dalmatian on the
fridge was from the day before...
The spots are her finger prints... cool idea!

And YES... my fridge looks like that all of the time now!
Gone, are the days of just 1 or 2 magnets...

And this....
well this is just something to ponder until my next post...
Ran across it while on a shopping trip with my
sister Amy, and had to get a photo...
What were they thinking here?
