Good Morning Cutie Pie!

Thought I'd share a bit of my morning with you. This is what I get to look at every morning before heading off to work....

Can you tell she's a bit photogenic?

Striking the tough chic pose...
Just try to take her lunch money....

Mmmm, strawberry breakfast bars....
She actually has breakfast at daycare,
but I give her a little snack before we leave the house.

And this is what happens when Nana and Pappy
stop by for a visit with CANDY!
They were actually here yesterday,
but we are rationing her the candy.
Thanks Nana, Thanks Pappy!

Playing in the leaves

Just a slideshow of pictures from the last week or so.....

We are preparing for Thanksgiving Dinner and all of the cleaning that goes along with it, so I've been a bit busy...

We have our Christmas Tree up and waiting to be decorated. I'm letting the cats and Shelby get used to not touching it, before we add the decorations.... So far (knock on wood) they are all doing great with it....

We are so anxious to see her reaction to Christmas! OK, 'I'm so anxious" Bryan is actually a little excited, but not near the level that I am at! He's so reserved sometimes....

Anyway, Enjoy!

Just in case...

Hey guys, Just in case you haven't been checking the blogs to your right.... Amy over at Our Family Our Story has just posted an awesome video of their trip for Finnley Joy.

They were ahead of us by a few months, and helped me keep my sanity while we waited for news on Shelby. They even had the same guide for a portion of he trip... Simon! He loved Shelby and she just adored him right back...

She's really outdone herself with putting it together so beautifully! Stop over and watch when you have a few minutes.

Warning: Must have tissues when watching!

That's it for now, Enjoy!

44 Days and counting...

44 Days until Christmas... Hmmm... I cannot decide if I am excited or scared.... It's my favorite holiday, and this will be Shelby's first here with us. We have been so blessed this year, that I don't think there is anything more that we could ask for.

Unless it's for the kittens to calm down a little..... A little less rip-and-tear would be great...

I'm just now getting the menu together for Thanksgiving Dinner here also. This may be our last year of hosting it since we have Shelby here, we'll be hosting Christmas now and I'll be passing the torch onto my sister.

I'm anxious to see how she handles all of the family together... not sure if she will shine through, or retreat into her bashful act... It's funny how she can turn that on and off.

Anyway, the count is on!

A Little overdue..

I've been meaning to post this for quite some time....
It was a gift that she received when we
arrived home, from her Great Aunt Jeanie

It's a pillow, that looks like a ladybug,
but she loves to hop around on it...

She made it up all by herself,
and rides it quite frequently...

Where is Shelby?
So many cute little faces here it's hard to tell.

Ahhhhh! Here she is! She must have been hiding!
We took turns hiding in the stuffed animals
for about an hour... Her attention span is getting better!

Happy Halloween!

We had trick or treat night last night, and let me tell you....

I know one little girl that was very excited to pass out candy! She was pointing and saying "Hi Kids" while they were 2 houses away. She'd grab some candy from the dish and wait for them to come up on the porch. She was just amazed at the costumes.

We didn't do the costume and treating ourselves this year as I wasn't sure she was ready for that, but after seeing the reaction this year, we may split the 2 hours and do 1 hr of passing and 1 hr of collecting next year.

Yep, it happened again, she just got a little cuter!

Taken in mid-giggle...
It's like an explosion when she smiles like this...
Of course it's a crappy quality from my phone,
but it was after a few pieces of candy....
